About Mikhael
Mikhael Magaril founded Bear Creek Law LLP after working at a boutique criminal law firm in Vancouver, where he appeared in court almost daily and had sole conduct of numerous trials before finishing his articles. He was one of the youngest lawyers called in British Columbia and has appeared before the BC Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of BC, the Provincial Court of BC, the BC Securities Commission, the Tax Court of Canada, the Workers' Compensation Appeal Tribunal, RoadSafety BC, and the BC Human Rights Tribunal. He has received the Law Foundation Scholarship, the Malcolm MacIntyre Memorial Entrance Scholarship in Law, and the Harper Grey LLP Prize in Law and Medicine. He volunteers as a supervising lawyer with the Law Students' Legal Advice Program and with the Lawyers Assistance Program. In addition to English, he is fluent in Russian and regularly serves Russian-speaking clients.
