About Michaela
Michaela Newman is an associate whose practice focuses on resolving complex legal and financial matters through binding cohabitation and separation agreements, and she represents clients in court proceedings when a negotiated resolution isn't possible. She tailors her approach to each client's specific circumstances. Michaela earned her Honours BA with distinction from the University of Guelph, majoring in Criminal Justice and Public Policy with a minor in Family and Child Studies, and went on to complete her Juris Doctor at Queen's University in 2016. During law school she worked as a caseworker at the Queen's Family Law Clinic, providing legal services in the Kingston community. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017 and articled with a well-known family law firm in Toronto, where she also spent the first two years of her career.
