Michael is a senior associate who joined Mills & Mills LLP in 2025 after more than six years focused exclusively on wills, estates, and trusts, including at a boutique Toronto firm. His practice covers estate planning and administration, including complex cross-border and litigious files, and he regularly advises executors, trustees, and attorneys on their duties. Michael has worked with entrepreneurs and family offices to design estate plans that minimize income tax and probate fees, drafting wills, powers of attorney, trusts, and domestic contracts. He holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner designation from STEP and received the 2024 STEP Canada Scholars Award for Best Essay. Michael earned degrees from the University of Guelph and a JD from Lakehead University in 2017.
