About Michael

Michael McDonough became an associate at Cavalluzzo in 2019 after articling with the firm, and his practice centers on labour law and construction labour law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2018. While in law school he volunteered with Advocates for Injured Workers, representing clients before the WSIB and WSIAT, and with the employment division of Downtown Legal Services on wrongful dismissal, Employment Standards Act, and human rights matters. He also co-directed the Pro Bono Students Canada Union-Side Labour Law Research Project. Before law school, Michael earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Anthropology from the University of Western Ontario, where he received the gold medal in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2019.
