Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionMichael Mazzuca is a partner in Koskie Minsky's Pension and Employee Benefits Group, advising multi-employer and jointly sponsored pension plans, health and welfare plans, and training funds across Canada. He also advises trade unions and plan member and retiree groups on plan governance, fiduciary duties, and investments, and has litigated significant pension and benefit cases before administrative tribunals and courts across the country, including the BC Supreme Court. Michael is an adjunct professor at the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law, chairs the Legal Advisory Committee of the Ontario Financial Services Tribunal, and chairs the Canadian Bar Association's Pension and Benefits Section. He has been a prominent advocate against Federal Bill C-377 and acted as lead counsel for a group of pensioners in one of the first pension class actions to go to trial in British Columbia.
