About Michael

Michael Fekete concentrates on technology, artificial intelligence, electric and autonomous vehicles, government procurement and funding, digital and AI policy, and privacy compliance. Michael advises on complex technology transactions and AI projects, outsourcing, and energy transition matters, acting for AI companies, software publishers, hardware manufacturers, online vendors, and automotive and battery manufacturers. Michael has advised Microsoft and General Motors, among other clients, on AI, intellectual property, controlled goods, contract security, procurement, and commercial contracting issues, including matters tied to federal and provincial funding programs. Michael has represented service providers in onshore and offshore outsourcing transactions and systems integration projects, and has advised on government procurement, licensing, and open source software issues. Michael holds an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia and a B.A. from Carleton University, and belongs to TECHNATION's IT/Can Law Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
