About Michael

Michael Koch works with financial and strategic investors, both domestic and foreign, on mergers and acquisitions. Michael also assists telecommunications and media companies with Canada's regulatory framework, appearing before the CRTC, the Copyright Board of Canada, and the Competition Tribunal, and represents targets of Competition Bureau investigations. Several legal directories, including Chambers Canada and The Legal 500 Canada, recognize Michael as a leading telecommunications lawyer. Michael writes and speaks on competition and copyright law for groups such as the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association, and serves as vice-chair of OECD's Competition Committee of Business. Michael previously chaired a Canadian Bar Association competition subcommittee, and is a kidney donor who serves as an ambassador for Renewal, promoting live kidney donation.
