About Michael
Michael Currie advises public and privately held companies on business disputes, with an emphasis on contractual disputes, franchise agreements, oppression claims, injunctions, and class actions. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario and regularly represents clients in mediations and arbitrations, drawing on particular knowledge of the property development and automotive sectors, including disputes under the National Automobile Dealer Arbitration Program. Outside his practice, he founded Good Laughs, an annual fundraiser where lawyers perform stand-up comedy, which has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local and national charities. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015 after earning his J.D. cum laude from the University of Ottawa and a B.Sc. in Psychology with First Class Honours from Mount Allison University.
