About Michael

Michael brings deep experience to matters involving physicians, dentists, nurses, and other regulated health professionals, handling complaints before regulatory bodies, discipline hearings, quality assurance reviews, and registration disputes. He has also represented physicians in hospital privilege disputes and medical malpractice actions, and advises corporations and institutions on health law matters. He co-authored the book The Law of Acute Care Medicine, which Thomson Reuters published, exploring how medicine, law, and ethics intersect when caring for acutely ill patients. As a litigator, he has defended physicians in malpractice cases for more than ten years and represented plaintiffs for fifteen, giving him perspective from both sides. He also handles civil litigation involving personal injury, commercial disputes, wrongful dismissal, and human rights matters, and has acted as lead counsel across every level of court in Ontario.
