About Melissa

Melissa is a partner known for advocating on behalf of elderly clients, and her certification in Elder Law informs her focus on nursing home negligence, long-term care disputes and elder abuse cases. Beyond that elder-focused work, she also handles personal injury files spanning product liability, hospital negligence, car accident claims, slip and falls, and disputes over long-term disability benefits. She founded Canadians4LTC and Lawyers4LTC to push for systemic reform of long-term care across Canada, and she is featured in the National Film Board documentary Stolen Time about problems in the sector. Melissa has served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and speaks regularly at legal education events.
