About Mel

Mel Chaudhary is a partner at Simpson, Thomas & Associates who joined the firm in 2012 and became a partner in 2021, having settled nearly 900 cases over more than 20 years of practice. He represents clients in personal injury matters involving soft tissue, fracture, spinal cord, and brain injuries, as well as family law matters including divorce, property division, and custody. Mel has taken cases to trial, including a month-long trial in the BC Supreme Court, and has helped negotiate multi-party mediated settlements for wrongful death claims. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2004 and Alberta in 2002, holds an LLB from UBC (2001) and a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University (1997), and is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
