About Meaghan

Meaghan Smith is a Burlington native who has focused on family law since being called to the bar in 2014. She joined Haber Lawyers in 2016 and now helps clients with parenting issues, support, and the division of assets. As a member of the Office of the Children's Lawyer personal rights panel, she advocates for children in high-conflict custody and access matters and in child protection cases, drawing on her ability to gauge how children are coping through difficult transitions. She is also experienced with clients whose families face mental health, substance abuse, or domestic violence challenges. Meaghan earned her Bachelor of Social Work at Ryerson University before completing a combined Juris Doctor and Master of Social Work at the University of Windsor, then articled with Duty Counsel Family Criminal Law in St. Catharines.
