About Maude
Maude Lafortune-Bélair joined DWF's Montréal office in 2025 following more than fifteen years of practice at a major Quebec firm. Lafortune-Bélair focuses on civil liability, product liability and professional liability, and is known for acting for manufacturers, suppliers and vendors in disputes over product design, recalls and manufacturing defects. Lafortune-Bélair also advises clients on strategy and risk management and regularly manages complex insurance coverage files, including matters involving air, rail and land transportation. Lafortune-Bélair is active in class action defence, acting for insurers, manufacturers, healthcare institutions and municipalities. Lafortune-Bélair was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2009 after earning an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal in 2007.
