About Matthew
Matthew Hack first joined MacGillivray Law as a summer research analyst before articling under founder Jamie MacGillivray, becoming an associate in 2020 and a partner in 2024. He has represented clients at all levels of court in Nova Scotia and previously worked as a legislative aide in the House of Commons. He served three years on the executive of the Pictou County Barristers' Society and was appointed to the Motor Vehicle Appeal Board for Nova Scotia. He holds an LLB with Honours from University College London and an LLM with Merit from Queen Mary University of London, and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2020.
