Matthew Gottlieb handles complex, high-stakes disputes spanning corporate and commercial litigation, insolvency litigation, fraud, and securities matters. He has worked on some of the largest insolvency proceedings in North America and regularly appears in trials, applications, and arbitrations before Ontario courts, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Matt has acted as counsel to the Sackler families in the Purdue Pharma CCAA proceeding and related class actions, and he represented a landlord in the Hudson's Bay Company CCAA proceeding. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and The International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and he regularly instructs at the Law Society of Ontario and The Advocates' Society.
