Matt Perron earned a D.E.C. from Collège Boréal and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice from Laurentian University before attending law school. Before law school he served with the Military Police Squadron at CFB 8 Wing in Trenton. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Université de Moncton, then returned to Timmins to article with Wallbridge, Wallbridge Trial Lawyers, and joined Gosselin Law Firm in 2013. In late 2022 he took over that practice and founded Perron Law Firm. His work focuses on family law and civil litigation, and he has represented clients across the province. He sits on the Office of the Children's Lawyer panel and travels throughout Northeastern Ontario representing children and clients in court. He belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario, the Association des juristes d'expression française du Nouveau-Brunswick, and the Cochrane Law Association.
