About Mark

Mark W.S. Bain is a partner with a practice centered on infrastructure and project finance, providing strategic counsel on complex, first-of-kind infrastructure projects and public-private partnership transactions across sectors and geographies. He heads Torys' PPP practice and co-heads its Infrastructure and Energy practice, and has advised on major Canadian capital projects, including more than 80 significant PPP deals. Mark has represented the full range of stakeholders in these transactions, from sponsors, equity investors, and lenders to contractors, service providers, and public authorities. He chairs the Canadian Branch of the International Project Finance Association, previously chaired the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships, and teaches infrastructure project development and finance law in Osgoode Hall's LLM program.
