About Mark
Mark Raftus is a senior associate at McKiggan Hebert Lawyers who represents clients injured in car and truck accidents, brain injury, and spinal cord injury claims. He has practised exclusively in personal injury law on the plaintiff side since 1998, appearing before the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Mark was named a Leading Practitioner in the personal injury field by the Lexpert Canadian Legal Directory in 2019. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from Dalhousie University and graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1997, being admitted to the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society in 1998. Outside the firm, Mark is a longtime minor sports coach in Dartmouth, having helped re-establish the Dartmouth North Central Baseball Club and served as president of the Dartmouth District Minor Baseball Association.
