About Mark

Mark Klaiman is Of Counsel to RD Law Professional Corporation. He was called to the bar in 1982 after graduating from Windsor Law School and began his career at a firm specializing in defence insurance litigation, where he gained insight into how insurers operate and built experience in personal injury and insurance matters. After 1986 he moved into general litigation, and his practice now spans franchise and commercial litigation, personal injury, estate litigation, and collection matters. Mark has conducted more than one hundred jury and non-jury trials in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, regularly appears on motions and applications, and has argued appeals before the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal. He also handles criminal and regulatory matters, administrative tribunal proceedings, and arbitrations, and is known as an experienced negotiator who works to maximize settlement outcomes. He belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Advocates' Society, and the Medico-Legal Society.
