About RD Law Professional Corporation

RD Law Professional Corporation is a small litigation firm based in the Airway Centre on Airport Road in Mississauga, with a second office in downtown Toronto that operates by appointment only. The firm is led by principal Rinku Deswal, who was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004 after earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, a master's degree in counselling psychology from a program in Chicago, and a law degree from the University of New Brunswick. Before opening the firm, Deswal practiced civil litigation at firms in downtown Toronto, building a focus on aviation law that included representing air carriers in disputes and before the Canada Transportation Agency.

That aviation focus continues at RD Law today alongside business law, civil and commercial litigation, criminal law, family law, and immigration law. Two of counsel lawyers add further range: Mark Klaiman, called to the bar in 1982 after Windsor Law School, has conducted more than 100 jury and non-jury trials and concentrates on franchise, commercial, personal injury, and estate litigation. Peter Welsh, called to the Bar of New Brunswick in 1973 and the Bar of Ontario in 1977, joined RD Law as counsel in 2009 after more than 30 years practicing corporate and commercial law for financial institutions, real estate developers, and public companies.

The neighbourhood

RD Law's main office sits in the Airway Centre on Airport Road in Mississauga. That's not incidental to the practice: the firm's litigation work grew out of representing air carriers and other aviation industry parties, and it has been an invited speaker for the Board of Airline Representatives in Canada and attended the Annual International Airport Investigator's Training Symposium.

The Toronto office at 65 Queen Street West operates by appointment only, so day to day work runs out of the Mississauga location. It gives clients based downtown a place to meet without RD Law running two full time premises.
