About Mark

Mark Demas is a co-founder of Demas Schaefer Family Lawyers, practicing exclusively in family law, including divorce, custody, child support, parenting time, property division, spousal support, and marriage and cohabitation agreements. Before law, he spent 18 years in the pipeline construction industry, including projects in Russia, before graduating from the University of Alberta's Faculty of Law in 2008 and being called to the bar on July 31, 2009. He's trained in collaborative law and mediation and is currently training as an arbitrator. He has volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre's Family Law Clinic and previously sat on the board of Momentum Walk In Counselling. In 2020 he partnered with Sean Schaefer to form Demas Schaefer Family Lawyers.
