About Kinnar

Kinnar Power practices family law and general civil litigation at Demas Schaefer, helping clients with parenting arrangements, property division, child and spousal support, and Emergency Protection Orders, as well as contract disputes, employment issues, and human rights claims in his civil litigation work. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, a Master of Arts in Political Science also from Dalhousie, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alberta's Campus Saint-Jean. During law school he worked as a research assistant on family law, constitutional law, animal law, and prison law. He's fluent in French and assists clients in both of Canada's official languages, and has regularly appeared before both the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench.
