About Mariya

Mariya Gogova Andonova has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2022. She began her legal career in the Legal Affairs Department of the City of Montreal, where she completed her Bar internship after working as a legal assistant there since 2013, and joined David | Sauvé LLP with a multidisciplinary practice spanning civil, administrative, municipal, and criminal litigation. During law school she was involved with Projet innocence Québec and the Gale Cup Moot Court Competition, and ranked in the top five in Canada in a legal writing competition sponsored by Innocence Canada on reforming the wrongful conviction review process. She now directs a high school Legal Club and mentors students for moot court competitions.
