About Marie-Claude
Marie-Claude Martel earned her law degree from Université de Sherbrooke in 2004 and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2005. She later completed a master's degree in Dispute Prevention and Resolution (2011) and specialized training in civil and commercial arbitration (2011), both at Université de Sherbrooke. She worked with Forseti's founding partners for over 15 years before becoming an associate in 2022, and specializes in construction, real estate, condominium law, shareholder disputes, contractual relations, and alternative dispute resolution. She teaches arbitration at Université de Sherbrooke's Master's program, has served as president of IMAQ's Arbitration Sector Table, founded IMAQ's Forum of Arbitrators, and has received the Lionel J. McGowan Regional Excellence Award and multiple Women in Law Awards in arbitration.
