About Marcela

Marcela Swan joined Young Anderson as an associate in October 2025 and maintains a general municipal law practice with a focus on construction law and litigation. Before joining the firm, she practised for five years at a boutique municipal law firm in downtown Vancouver, advising local governments on procurement and construction matters and representing them in commercial contract disputes, and she articled at a civil litigation firm where she appeared frequently before the Supreme Court of British Columbia. She completed a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws at the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Municipal Law and Construction Law sections of the Canadian Bar Association's BC Branch.
