About Madeleine

Madeleine Ani founded Madrona Law Office in 2012 after being called to the bar in 2009. She earned her J.D. from the University of British Columbia in 2006 and a B.A. with First Class Honours in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Alberta in 2003. Before starting her own practice, she articled at a Vancouver firm specializing in labour, employment, and human rights law. Her practice now focuses on real estate transactions and incapacity planning, including wills, powers of attorney, and representation agreements, and she also provides notarial services. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, and belongs to the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association. Ani is active in her Gabriola Island community, having chaired the Advisory Planning Commission for Gabriola's Local Trust Committee and served on the board of the Gabriola Land and Trails Trust.
