About Lylia
Lylia Benabid has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2015. She holds a bachelor's degree in international studies and a law degree (LL.B.) from the Université de Montréal, and a master's in international law (LL.M.) from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She completed her bar training at the Tribunal administratif du Québec, then began her practice in corporate, labour and intellectual-property law at the firm Propulsio 360º. Between 2016 and 2020 she specialized in human rights, completing missions in Mali, Honduras and Colombia for Avocats sans Frontières Canada and the UN Development Programme, and contributed to draft legislation on gender-based violence and to petitions before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. Before joining RBD Avocats, she developed and coordinated legal-education projects for varied audiences at Éducaloi. She joined RBD in September 2022 as coordinator of legal information.
