Lucia Westin-Eastaugh

About Lucia

Lucia's practice focuses on energy, environmental and natural resources law, with an emphasis on regulatory work, and she also advises on Indigenous rights and consultation, procurement processes and construction law. Practising in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, she helps clients navigate regulatory requirements including matters before the Canadian Energy Regulator, negotiate and draft contracts, undertake financings, and resolve disputes. She has appeared before forums ranging from the Nova Scotia Energy Board to the Federal Court of Appeal, and has advised government, public utilities, energy proponents and individual citizens on energy transition initiatives including onshore and offshore wind. Lucia previously worked in energy and resource policy for an Atlantic Canadian provincial government and holds an LL.M. in Energy Law, an LL.B. and B.C.L. from McGill University, and a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross. She serves as vice-chair of the CBA's National Environmental, Energy and Resources Law Section and is active in the New Brunswick Chapter of Women in Renewable Energy.
