About Louis

Louis P. Bélanger has served as counsel-associate at Forseti since 2018. He earned his law degree magna cum laude from Université de Montréal and was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1977. His practice focuses primarily on civil and commercial litigation, as well as class actions, and he frequently appears before courts at multiple levels, including the Superior Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. He has acted as lead counsel and co-counsel on complex, high-profile matters, and has been recognized among Canada's and Quebec's leading lawyers by Chambers, Legal 500, Best Lawyers in Canada, and Lexpert/American Lawyer guides for nearly 20 years. He was named Litigator of the Year 2013 by Le Monde Juridique and previously served as President of McGill Law Faculty's Tribunal School.
