About Lorne
Lorne J. Fine practices exclusively in family law and divorce in Toronto. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from York University before graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1990 and being called to the bar in 1992, and he later continued his legal studies at Oxford University in England. After articling at Minden, Gross, Grafstein & Greenstein, he helped found Belmont, Fine & Associates before eventually establishing his own firm, Fine & Associates Professional Corporation, dedicated solely to family and divorce work. Since being called to the bar, Lorne has obtained certificates in negotiation, collaborative law, and mediation, and he is a qualified arbitrator. He was the resident family and divorce lawyer for the radio program Goldhawk Fights Back on AM740 and has appeared on television to discuss family law issues. He has represented clients across Ontario, the United States, England, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.
