About Jessica

Jessica Brant is a matrimonial lawyer at Benmor Family Law Group with over two decades in family law. She began her career as a family law clerk handling all stages of court litigation before earning her J.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2012 and articling with a well-known Ottawa family law practitioner. She later ran her own legal practice in her native Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Over her career she has built a record of advocacy in Ontario courts, including precedent-setting cases on parenting, support, and property, and she regularly works with families dealing with neurodiverse children. A proud member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, she holds a Mohawk Language and Culture Diploma from Queen's University and is an active advocate for Indigenous rights.
