About Lisa

Lisa Corrente is a partner and co-chair of her firm's Residential Care Facilities Group, advising long-term care homes, retirement homes, group homes, and other congregate living facilities. Her practice covers ministry inspections and police investigations, statutory compliance, licensing appeals, complaints to regulatory colleges, professional discipline proceedings, and civil litigation, along with employment matters such as wrongful dismissal and human rights complaints. She has appeared before the Licence Appeal Tribunal, the Human Rights Tribunal, the Landlord and Tenant Board, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario, among other bodies. Lisa served as counsel to a long-term care home operator in the 2018 public inquiry into the murders committed by a former registered nurse, and later advised congregate care settings on COVID-19 compliance. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2001 and holds a JD and an honours BA from the University of Toronto.
