Linda M. Plumpton

About Linda

Linda M. Plumpton chairs Torys' Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice, with a practice spanning competition litigation, class action defence, corporate and commercial disputes, and securities litigation. She has appeared as counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada, at every level of court in Ontario, in the Federal Court, before the Competition Tribunal, and before the Ontario Securities Commission, and also advises on public law, constitutional law, and employment matters. Linda belongs to the American Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, The Advocates' Society, and the Toronto Lawyers Association, and has held leadership roles including past director of The Advocates' Society. She currently serves on the CBA's Private Actions, Criminal Matters, and Reviewable Matters committees within its National Competition Law Section, and has taught advocacy and lectured on class actions and competition law at Osgoode Hall, the University of Ottawa, and the University of Toronto.
