Administrative & Regulatory LawLeah Cummings focuses her practice on expropriations, administrative law, and civil litigation, primarily representing owners in disputes with expropriating authorities, including tenants, homeowners, and developers across Ontario. She acted as counsel to an intervener in two recent Supreme Court of Canada appeals dealing with constructive takings, and has appeared before the Ontario Land Tribunal, sports-regulating bodies, Small Claims Court, and both the Divisional and Superior Courts. Leah was called to the bar in 2020 and previously clerked at the Federal Court of Canada and articled with the Military Police Complaints Commission. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and an Honours B.A. in Peace, Conflict, and Justice Studies from the University of Toronto, and is a co-author of the Annotated Conservation Authorities Act.
