About Lauren

Lauren Port is an associate at Sheahan LLP advising on compliance with environmental laws relating to noise, protection of vulnerable species and their habitat, and water use. She advises clients on the legislative framework applicable to their projects, permitting requirements and environmental assessments, and has experience with the transport and disposal of hazardous materials, contaminated land, and projects in wetlands and watercourses. She carries out environmental due diligence and advises on environmental liability risks, and before joining the firm she practised civil litigation before the Quebec Court and Superior Court. She earned an LL.L. from the University of Ottawa in 2019 and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2020, and is a member of her law faculty's Equity Committee.
