About Anne-Marie

Anne-Marie Sheahan is the senior partner of Sheahan LLP, with more than 30 years of experience in environmental law. She advises clients on compliance with environmental laws, enforcement matters, environmental emergencies, impact assessments and permitting for new projects, and coordinates environmental due diligence for transactions across many industrial sectors, including mining, metallurgy, forestry, pulp and paper, infrastructure and agrifood. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 1991 after earning her B.C.L. and LL.B. from McGill University in 1989. She sits on the Quebec Bar's Permanent Committee on Environment, is a former president of the Environment Section of the Canadian Bar Association's Quebec division, and is a former director of the board of RECYC-QUÉBEC. She has taught an environmental law course for architecture and engineering students at McGill University and has spoken at several environmental law forums.
