About Laura

Laura Bracco-Callaghan is a partner at Embury & West LLP who joined the firm in 2025 after 14 years at a Calgary firm, where Laura led the Employment Group. Laura earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Honours, First Class) from the University of Calgary in 2007, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2011. Laura practises employment law, civil litigation, insurance defence and privacy law, handling terminations, employment contracts, workplace policies, constructive dismissal, severance packages, human rights and accommodation matters, and workplace investigations. Laura also represents professionals in disciplinary proceedings, works in sports law, and appears as trial and appellate counsel in Alberta courts. A former member of Canada's National Biathlon Team, Laura is based in Canmore.
