About Krista
Krista Balsom, working from the Bonnyville and Fort McMurray offices, earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2024 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2025. Before practising law she founded a communications firm serving the Wood Buffalo region and held roles in federal, provincial, and municipal government, including as an elected Fort McMurray councillor. Her practice focuses on family law, where she takes a child-first approach with clients going through separation and divorce.
