About Ellen
Ellen K. Embury is a partner at Embury & West LLP who has practised employment law and litigation for over 20 years, appearing at all levels of the Alberta and Ontario courts. Ellen earned an LL.B. and an M.P.A. from the University of Victoria in 1999 and a B.A. (Hons) from Queen's University in 1995, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2001 and the Alberta Bar in 2003. Ellen served as Commission Counsel on Alberta's Inquiry into Preferential Access in the Health Care System (2012-2013), acts for both employers and employees, conducts workplace investigations, and practises in reproductive technology and fertility law. Ellen is a board member of the Association of Women Lawyers and Quest Children's Society.
