About Kristian

Kristian Brabander has built deep experience defending clients in multi-jurisdictional class actions and commercial litigation spanning industries such as technology, data and privacy, banking and financial services, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals and health. His practice concentrates on high-stakes corporate and commercial litigation, covering data and privacy disputes, shareholder conflicts and corporate remedies, competition and antitrust matters, defamation, and insurance disputes. His class action work has included defending manufacturers against claims of product defects, pricing practices, and other consumer protection allegations. Brabander has led the defence of major privacy and data breach litigation and access-to-information matters. Fluent in French, English and German, he appears regularly before the courts of Quebec and Ontario, the Quebec Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before administrative bodies such as the Administrative Tribunal of Quebec and the Commission d'accès à l'information.
