About Kevin

O'Brien is a seasoned litigator who appears before trial and appellate courts, guiding clients through some of their most difficult and sensitive matters. He has deep experience across corporate and commercial law, including class actions, securities, product liability, energy disputes, and construction and infrastructure conflicts. He also focuses on crisis and reputation management along with defamation and media law, and regularly takes part in domestic and international arbitrations. O'Brien chairs Osler's committee for legal professionals and co-wrote, with David Morritt, a leading text on Canadian defamation law and practice. He supports Pro Bono Ontario as a volunteer and coaches youth baseball and basketball in east Toronto. Before joining Osler, he clerked for judges of the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
