Kecia Podetz practises exclusively in labour and employment law, advising clients in the not-for-profit, health, manufacturing, technology, and professional services sectors, as well as First Nations governments and related organizations. She is an experienced negotiator across unionized and non-unionized workplaces, advising on statutory compliance, employment agreements and policies, attendance management, benefits, and discipline and dismissal matters. She frequently appears before labour arbitrators and other tribunals, and is a regular speaker on labour, employment, and human rights topics, including workplace respect, accommodation, and collective bargaining. She began practising labour and employment law in Nova Scotia in 2001 and has practised in Ontario since 2003. She is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates' Society, and the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers, where she currently serves as president.
