About Katherine
Katherine Chau is a litigator focused primarily on employment law, advising both employers and employees on issues such as workplace policies, accommodations, terminations, and investigations. She has represented clients before various courts and administrative tribunals in Ontario, working on wrongful and constructive dismissal disputes, departing-employee cases, human rights complaints, and commercial matters touching on partnership and shareholder agreements, along with broader commercial disputes such as contract disagreements, shareholder conflicts, oppression claims, and fraud allegations. While in law school, Chau won the Ryan Prize for top standing in Evidence, served as a caseworker with Queen's Legal Aid, took part in the Wilson Moot and a labour arbitration competition hosted by Hicks Morley, and completed a public-interest internship with a United Nations office addressing drugs and crime in Laos, having earlier completed an undergraduate degree in Business Administration at York University's Schulich School of Business.
