About Behzad

Behzad Hassibi advises both employees and employers on a broad range of human resources matters, including wrongful dismissals, severance and termination issues, employment standards, human rights and accommodation questions, employment agreements, and workplace health and safety policies. Hassibi was named to Best Lawyers' 2024-2026 'Ones to Watch in Canada' list for his labour and employment work, teaches the Human Resources Law for HR Professionals Certificate course at Osgoode Hall Law School, and provides free employment-law advice to cancer patients through the Wellspring organization. He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, and Small Claims Court, as well as in proceedings before Ontario's Human Rights Tribunal, the Ministry of Labour's Employment Standards Branch, and the province's Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. He speaks English, Farsi, and French, and outside of work he travels, cycles, and plays volleyball.
