About Ian

Ian Mair is a founding partner of MMW and an experienced barrister who represents both plaintiffs and defendants in difficult litigation. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for insurance law since 2010 and is frequently retained by other lawyers as trial counsel. His practice covers occupiers' liability, motor vehicle litigation, civil liability for violent crime, product liability, municipal liability, and professional liability matters, and he has served as lead or trial counsel in numerous reported cases. Ian earned his B.A. in English and History from Huron College and his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1986.
