About Katharine

Katharine (Katie) Brack is a partner in First Peoples Law's Ottawa office, called to the bar in British Columbia, Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Ontario. Her practice focuses on working with Indigenous governments to advance their rights, defend their lands, develop economic opportunities and protect self-governance. She has represented Indigenous clients across Canada on matters relating to the duty to consult, treaty rights, Aboriginal title, natural resources and membership issues, and before joining First Peoples Law she co-founded a boutique firm advising on employment, Indigenous rights and civil litigation for Indigenous governments, non-profits, individuals and small businesses.
