About Katelyn

Katelyn (Kate) Jechel leads Fresh Legal's Perth office and has practiced family law exclusively since 2023, after beginning her career in family law and civil litigation in 2017 at a major regional firm and a smaller community-based practice. Her practice covers parenting arrangements, child and spousal support, property division, and relocation matters, as well as cohabitation, marriage, and separation agreements, including independent legal advice on those agreements. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, and Divisional Court, and has presented at conferences for the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the Frontenac Law Association. She serves the Perth, Ottawa, Brockville, and Kingston regions and is currently listed as on leave.
