About Kate

Kate practices exclusively in labour and employment law, primarily advising and representing employers, and occasionally employees where doing so does not conflict with her employer clients. She assists clients with hiring, discipline, performance management, workplace policies, human rights, health and safety, training and workplace investigations, and helps manage workplace crises as they arise. Kate regularly appears before the Superior Court of Justice and the Small Claims Court, has had a landmark case succeed at the Ontario Court of Appeal, and has more than ten years of experience before boards and tribunals including the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. She also represents unionized clients before grievance arbitrators and in collective bargaining. Kate came to Kingston to attend Queen's University Law School and has stayed in the community since.
