About Karen

Karen Powar heads Hamilton Duncan's Personal Injury department and maintains a diverse litigation practice spanning commercial and civil disputes, employment law, insurance defence, and estate litigation. She began her career as in-house counsel with ICBC, specializing in fraud claims and defending injury, liability, and coverage claims, before moving to representing accident victims. She is fluent in Punjabi and has conducted numerous trials in both Provincial and Supreme Court.
