C. Gregory Kay has practised law in Cobourg since 1980, with a career spanning family law, estate litigation, employment law, property and contract disputes, personal injury claims and criminal law. He co-founded Kay & McCourt with Kady McCourt in 2019 and now serves as counsel to the firm, providing strategic advice to its other lawyers. Kay has served on the Ontario Family Rules Committee, the Cobourg Family Court Combined Community Liaison and Resource Committee, and the Central East Bench and Bar Committee, and has presented for the Family Law Mandatory Information Program. He is a past vice-president of the Northumberland County Law Association. Outside the practice, he has been active in the community as honourary co-chair of the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign and as a director of several local organizations, and he is a marathon runner, triathlete, skier and golfer.
